A delightful Tunbridgeware nutmeg grater in rosewood. The wide top displays a geometric design, and the different woods used in the outer ring of the top can clearly be seen in the pictures. It opens to the grater on top and the base unscrews for the nutmeg compartment, containing two nutmegs. It is dated C1850. These are well sought after and can be very expensive. They are hard to attribute as most of the manufactories produced them.
