Stevengraph of “The Late Earl of Beaconsfield” (STG 52). This title was granted to Benjamin Disraeli in 1876. He was Prime Minister in 1868 and 1874-1880. He died 19 April 1881. This comes in three variants. STG 52 has a 1 star rarity out of 7 in the Sprake & Darby reference. STG 51 is a similar portrait with no flowers, and STG 53 is a smaller silk with the title woven in above the portrait. One of the “Politician” set, in immaculate condition, it is on D type Mount with 23+27+2 label, dated March/April 1888.
