All the Stevens combinations (two or more pictures in the same mount) are high up the rarity rating in all the reference books. The three now available on the site are triple combinations. They carry no identification for Stevens, no printed title and no trade label. It is speculated that these may have been assembled by an enterprising agent or retailer (see Godden 73 Multi-Subject Pictures page 209), but what is certain is their extreme rarity. All three of these examples are of exquisite quality in colouring and mount condition, and to have the option of all three together at one time is a rare opportunity indeed. “Death of Nelson” (STG 152) on the left, “Kitchener” (STG 45) in the centre, and “Wellington & Blucher” (STG 155) on the right.
