This is an example of a pod mahogany potlid frame turned to fit a given potlid size. The profile is spoon, with the outer rim prouder than the slightly inset potlid, which is offered from the front. The additional picture shows the double screw eye with adjoining cord as an option for hanging, and the small bag of cork pieces provided for the interference fit of the rim of the potlid with the potlid frame. It is then best to use cold melt or hot melt glue to secure the corks in place, so that it is all reversible. Pod mahogany is an African hardwood that is sustainable. The availability of true mahogany is low unless scrap sources are available.
