Stevengraph picture of “Kenilworth Castle” (STG 125). One of the larger Stevens’ pictures at 19 1/2″ x 12 1/2″. Made from 1918 onwards, so later than many other Stevens’ products. Only six castle views were completed, and Kenilworth had two variants. Note title in the silk, and original mount. There was never a rear trade paper, and the smaller images were used as calendars. Excellent textures created by the silk weave. Two star rarity (out of seven) in the Sprake & Darby book on Stevengraphs. Now unframed, the pictures show the silk in its original mount, a close up of the silk, and the possibility of an overmount should that be the preference.
