Kate Greenaway illustrations from various titles of her beautifully illustrated books. This full page plate is from original (early or first edition) books that were beyond repair. Edmund Evans was the engraver and printer, but Kate Greenaway drew the pictures. Published by Geo Routledge & Sons, circa 1880 Framed to show either the verse or picture on the other side . Here we have “Baby Mine” to the front and a poem “Then they were so polite” on the obverse. Makes a good pair, and framed as such with a gilt rope twist moulding, with “The Wedding Bells”.
