Prattware
The collection of “Prattware”, and particularly pot-lids, has been a popular collecting area for a substantial time, and generally the market has been a stable one. It is assumed that the majority of collectors will be familiar with the items and the range available, and already be using appropriate reference works. On this site all reference numbers relate to “The Price Guide to Pot-Lids and Other Underglaze Colour Prints on Pottery” by A Ball. For those unaware of the volume it is a useful and comprehensive guide that is primarily used for illustrative purposes, there being better works available for the history of this collecting area. Many of the lids on the site are framed by myself, having made and fitted the circular frames to suit. Most items show images back and front. The lids so presented are primarily for decorative purposes, but should further condition details be required please contact me.
